WHEELS planning rolls on. Baptist Health and a historic Miami house will provide venues for the Alliance during the WHEELS Event. The Palm Beach County Metropolitan Planning Organization has endorsed the WHEELS event. WHEELS will take place in South Miami November 11-15.
Doc Thomas House
The East Coat Greenway Alliance will hold its semi-annual board meeting and reception at the Doc Thomas House in Miami this fall. The Doc Thomas House, from the 1920s and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, houses the Tropical Audubon Society. The house sits on almost three acres of pine rocklands at the crossroads of Sunset Road and Red Road in South Miami. It will site a November 13 evening reception of the East Coast Greenway Alliance during its annual membership meeting as part of the five days of Miami-Dade County green mobility events called WHEELS. ECGA's board will also hold its semi-annual board meeting at the site.
Baptist Health/South Miami Hospital
Baptist Health has agreed to provide facilities for ECGA. Mid-July meeting of the South Miami Host Committee for WHEELS, pro bono chair of the management committee Victor Dover at the head of the table. The host committee meets every second Wednesday. As part of its agenda, the group received confirmation from Baptist Health/South Miami Hospital of a Friday morning, November 13, conference room for a meeting of the ECGA Advisory Committee.
